Partial Care
Partial Care, at Better Outlook, is a Medicaid funded program designed to strengthen children and families through positive learning experiences. Each child is valued and accepted for his/her uniqueness.
Participants in the Partial Care program learn that they have control over their behavioral choices. Emphasis is on teaching each client how to become a contributing member of their partial care group, family, classroom, and community by wisely using their own special talents and gifts for the mutual benefit of others.
Better Outlook’s primary concern is the needs of our clients and their families. We believe that the treatment process is not accomplished in isolation. It is initiated, promoted and performed in concert with clients, caregivers, Better Outlook staff and others within the community.
Art Therapy
Our Partial Care also incorporates art therapy in the program. Art therapy
is a significant part of our program at
Our art therapy program is person-centered and focuses on the individual. There is not an “interpretation” of the work but carefully posed questions so we can understand what is being communicated through art. There is an added benefit which allows the therapist to “see” what the person thinks and feels in addition to having a verbal account. The
“art experience” at Better Outlook is not only therapeutic in design but also great fun!
